Mikael began his career studying under Master Violinmaker Jan Larsson and went on to receive sponsorship from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music to continue his training in Cremona, Italy. His work experience in Sweden, Australia and Cremona has given him access to a wide range of models of the finest Italian instruments.
